Reserving A Lamb
Inorder to reserve a lamb we do require a deposit. Once deposit received your name will be on waiting list. The order of names on the waiting list go by who turns in a deposit first. If we don't end up having the desired lamb as requested deposit will be returned or can carry over to next breeding season. We do have right to refuse sale to anyone and CalBri Farms does have first pick on lambs born.
UPDATE ON RESERVING LAMBS 2024
We are more than happy to put you on wait list. There is no charge to be on list.
The 50% deposit will be required to reserve and hold a particular lamb. Until we have a deposit in hand all animals are considered for sale and available, on a first come first serve basis. If for some reason the animal a deposit has been placed on is unavailable for example Injury, death we will either refund deposit or offer another animal if available. Otherwise the deposit is unrefundable.
We ultrasound our sheep in December to determine how many lambs we will have. Once lambs are born in the spring we will know the sex of all of the lambs. We will post pics of lambs once born. After the lambs are a few weeks old we will post what we have available. We will notify people on our wait list first. Once we post what we have available we will start to take deposits. The picks of individual lambs will go in order of deposits received. We will notify you as soon as deposit received and order of your pick. We will have black lambs and white lambs only, no spotted. We encourage you to reach out before sending deposit so we can let you know what we have at the time, to be sure we have what you would like.
Like mentioned above sheep are flock animals, they don't do well alone. Cows, horses, dogs, donkeys, goats are not subsitutes for another sheep. You must have other sheep already or else buy more then one sheep.
The cost of all health certificates and test required for transporting sheep to your state (outside of Wisconsin) are the responsibility of the buyer. You must request in advance so we can schedule a vet visit to issue one. The cost of visit must be paid before vet appointment or can be deducted from your deposit and buyer agrees to pay remaining cost at pick up.
Animals need to be picked up in a timely manner. Once lambs are weaned, they need to be picked up within two weeks of fully weaned. If an extended time is needed please just let us know in advance we are happy to work with you, if you communicate with us. If there is no or poor communication with us, and animal is not picked up in a timely manner a daily boarding fee may be charged or if deemed necessary we may list the animal for sale again and the deposit may be nonrefundable.
We don't sell bottle lambs.
All lambs will be codon RR
Sorry for the long policy changes, we have been doing this for many years and still trying to find the best way to do sales. Every year we deal with scammers, buyer back outs, buyers holding out til day of pickup to no show, buyers taking months to make a decision, and then we have a lot of amazing buyers who love the sheep just like we do. We want to be able to find away to make them available to any interested buyer so please bare with us any changes.
